POSITION: Consultant Pathologist

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

PERSONAL STATEMENT:

Over the past 10 years, I have developed extensive skills as a pathologist with a special interest in gynecological pathology and cancer diagnosis. I have experience in fine needle aspiration biopsy and cytology and am currently involved in a prospective study looking at the epidemiology of breast cancer and HER2 over expression in Nigeria, sponsored by Roche Pharmaceutical. I previously collaborated with Dr. Adebamowo on his grant titled: Capacity Development for Research into AIDS Associated Malginancies-CADRE (1D43CA153792) where I received additional training in cervical cancer screening. My career goal is to contribute significantly to reducing cancer related mortality in Nigeria through prompt and accurate diagnosis of cancer cases. I would like to build my practice and training in histopathology by broadening my expertise in HPV-associated cancers through collaborations with international pathologists. My interests will complement nicely with the expertise of the team for the TRUST-Anal Cancer Study and I look forward to a new research partnership.
